TELECOM: AT&T to keep logo in NASCAR races

AT&T has settled its lawsuit with NASCAR and Sprint over the logos on Richard Childress Racing’s No. 31 Nextel Cup car driven by Jeff Burton, according to NASCAR Scene, a publication that covers auto racing. David Garver, AT&T’s executive director of business development and wireless sponsorship, said AT&T, which is using the logo to promote the transition of the Singular brand to AT&T, will be allowed to sponsor the No. 31 through 2008, but it "must come off after next season." As part of the agreement, NASCAR agreed to drop its $100 million countersuit against AT&T.
